The season finale of White Collar airs tonight, so I'm inspired to talk about the show's main character: Neal Caffrey.
I was hooked on this show about ten minutes into the first episode. Caffrey is a classic "man of mystery." There's very little known about his history except that he's one of the best thieves in America. He has mastered the classic art of forgery and has the right amount of charm to let him get away with (almost) anything.
My favourite thing about Neal Caffrey is that he has a tremendous amount of heart. As an ex-convict and thief, you'd assume that he's careless and manipulative. Okay, manipulative is probably a good word to describe him... but not in a way that would ever harm the ones that he loves or depends on. His relationship with Peter, another main character of the show, really moves the show forward. They have a bromance unlike any other.
Caffrey is intelligent. He knows practically everything about art history and has a crazy way with logic that helps him get out of ridiculous situations. Oh, and since I've avoided mentioning it this entire time... Matt Bomer also has tremendous sex appeal.
