You may have noticed the All Star bar which was originally part of the 1977 set. If not, notice it now. I was debating how to use it since I added the color border to the cards. After much consideration, I decided to use the same colors and placement as the original set. It's not perfect with every team, 1 AL team clashes and 1 NL team clashes, but for the most part it works. I also only put the All Star designation on the starters, including the DHs, because that's the way it should be. Let's take a look at Part 2 of the Colorado Rockies, including my farewell card to Mr. Rockie himself, Todd Helton.

Not only was this the final Todd Helton card, but I think it is one of his best. Fans of 1977 Topps will see my inspiration for this card immediately. However, if you don't see it, Google 1977 Topps Ken Griffey and you will soon understand. In the #2 slot is a card that would be #1 on most teams. I am not the biggest fan of the multiple exposures on a card, but it definitely works with someone with a plural last name. So now we have the 3 Rex Brothers: Past Rex, Present Rex, and Future Rex. Eric Young Jr. does not make a bad card. Here in his probable final Rockies card, he is apparently using his magical powers to levitate that helmet. Great visual. Corey Dickerson's card is a pretty good diving catch photo. The photo angle is not the best, but the presence of the ball makes up for it. Finally, we have a little bit of levity with Logan Kensing biting his nameplate. This photo was used partly for humor and partly because Kensing only pitched 2/3 of an inning all season and no other photos were available.
