How to utterly dismiss a topic in conversation à la française:

Slouch your upper body

Assume a Gallic shrug of a shoulder

Raise one eyebrow high in sarcasm

Flap both hands dramatically

Purse your lips and exclaim, "Puh, puh, puh, c'est pas possible!"

Extra theatrics:

Cross your legs and lean back in your chair
Take a puff off your cigarette and exhale whilst exclaiming, "Puh, puh, puh!"
Look to the side feigning complete disinterest
