Located in Lyon's 6eme district on 12 Boulevard Brotteaux, it is easy to get to. The owner, Chris, is a Frenchman who lived in England for 14 years. When he came to Lyon, he noted the lack of anglophone products and decided he wanted to do something about that!
Featuring fresh English ham, sausage and cheddar cheese, fresh Scottish haggis and smoked salmon, and American Philadelphia Cream Cheese and bagels, my head immediately starts to swim upon entering the store!
The kids go nuts over the peanut butter.
Sauces for days that you can't find anywhere else.
Who can resist a jar of marshmallow fluff??
Dr Pepper (French often say it tastes like cough syrup), Root Beer (floats, anyone!), Mountain Dew ...
Ah, the baked beans!
Chris has American produce, British produce, as well as products from Canada, Australia and New Zealand. And the prices are really great!
Little Britain also has a nice selection of English books for sale, tea, cookies, candies, cereal and ... onion rings to die for! Stop in and have a look around when you're in the area.
Bon, gros bisous de la nourriture Anglo et a demain!
Love, Charley
