I mentioned yesterday that I have never liked or disliked the Indians, which is still true. However, the closest I ever came to liking the Indians was when Major League came out. It is, in my opinion, in the top 2 baseball movies of all time along with Field of Dreams. Has a movie ever cause you to like a real team in any sport more or less? Think about that while we take a look at the second half of the 2012 Cleveland Indians.
My Top 5 Indians Cards
1. Ezequiel Carrera
2. Vinny Rottino
3. Brent Lillibridge
4. Shelley Duncan
5. Johnny Damon
The Carrera is an easy choice. The 370 sign in the background makes this an especially good diving catch photo. Outfield "art" also adds to the Vinny Rottino catch at the wall card. Maybe I just like that one becauseit is my cable company and I'd like a discount. I like the Lillibridge due to the geometrically pleasing position of his body. The angles work perfectly for the card design. Shelley Duncan is yet another card that is on here mainly due to the background signage. The red (State Farm?) sign really makes the blue jersey pop. Finally we come to another possible final card in Johnny Damon. I never really liked the guy no matter where he played, but I do respect his nice career.
I feel like I know a little bit more about the Indians now, how abut you? I'll be back next week with three consecutive teams that I felt needed a color change from their original 1986 Topps design. I hope you like the changes as much as I do.
