2012 Quarry Unlimited - #29 Los Angeles Dodgers Part 2

Yesterday I felt I was fair with the Dodgers.  I explained in a reasoned manner why I wasn't a fan of the team and didn't take potshots.  Needless to say, my stomach hurt most of last night.  Therefore, I am going to compare the Dodgers to an evil demon today.  One thing you may notice about the 2012 Dodgers is the several players with the Jr. name suffix (Gwynn, Hairston, DeJesus) and several others (Gordon, Sellers, Van Slyke) who are second generation ballplayers.  I have no proof of this next part, but it makes sense if you think about it.  In the 80's and 90's, the Dodgers ran an elaborate witchcraft ring in their clubhouse.  Occasionally, an opponent would happen by and notice their dalliance with the dark arts.  The Dodgers gave them a choice: become a human sacrifice to the goat god, Pan, or surrender their first born son to the Dodgers and remain silent forever.  Eh, maybe not, maybe the Dodgers were just cheap on scouting and went with names they already knew.  Okay now my stomach feels a little better.  Enjoy the second half of the 2012 Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers were in the bottom 3 teams as far as interesting photos went along with the White Sox and Rays.  I actually went back and changed a couple two days ago just to find something interesting with this team.  The Sellers is probably the best of this bunch, although it is just a standard double play card.  The Cruz is interesting mainly because of the scoreboard background and him playing an unfamiliar position.  He only played two games at second in 2012 and this was one of them.  The Tony Gwynn is kind of interesting just because of the shades/beard combo.  I like the Kemp card because I honestly have no idea what he is doing.  It looks like he is getting ready to throw, but the ball hasn't got there yet.  Either way, it is entertaining.  Finally the Belisario is a rare shot of a fielding relief pitcher.  Usually those guys only get photos of them feeling bad after giving up a homer.


I hope my many Dodger-fan readers felt I treated their team fairly.  If not, it doesn't matter because I still hate them.  But to cheer you up tune in tomorrow when I take potshots at the one remaining team that you guys hate as well.
