Le Foot!

The French call soccer "football" or Le Foot. Le foot is about 500 million times more popular that American football is in America. How is that possible?

Could this having something to do with it?

Seriously though, it is definitely the national sport. When there is a big match on, everyone huddles indoors and watches on the telly. You know when a game is over, because there is shouting on the streets, from peoples homes and everyone is driving around yelling out the windows and honking their horns. 

Fooseball is popular as well and they call it "Baby Foot".

Hope you're watching the World Cup in South Africa and if you are, I hope you're not getting too big of a headache with all the freaky horn blowing that sounds like a massive swarm of bees and makes you go kook-a-lack-a-noggie in the head after two hours!
