Two Rivers Run Through It

Lyon has two rivers that run through it, the Rhone and the Saone. This is photo taken from the hill overlooking Vieux Lyon or Old Lyon and the Saone river. Gorgeous.



There is a magnificent quai that runs along the Rhone River all the way from Gerland to park Miribel. It has a gorgeous bike path, foot path and is lined with river boats that house brasseries, bars and restaurants. It is incredibly relaxing to spend an evening along the quai. Sometimes we simply picnic on the grass and watch the river boats glide by.



Lyon is my favorite city in France at night-all lit up and gorgeous!
